The Florida Deputy Sheriffs Association represents Florida deputy sheriffs who need a common voice supporting their needs in the workplace, in their communities and at the Capitol. By coming together through FDSA, deputies have increased their level of growth, support and best practices training.
history
Founded in 2009 by Florida’s sheriffs, the FDSA is a not-for-profit association that provides comprehensive benefits, a professional network, camaraderie and a communications forum for Sheriffs’ Office staff. The association provides accidental, health, survivor and legal benefits and services to deputies and staff that may not otherwise be available to Sheriff’s Office personnel.
OUR MISSION
The Florida Deputy Sheriffs Association exists to unite, support and advocate for the deputies and law enforcement professionals who protect Florida’s communities. We are committed to promoting the safety, well-being and professional excellence of every deputy through education, leadership development, peer support and legislative advocacy. Grounded in the values of honor, integrity and service, the FDSA works to ensure that every deputy has a voice, every family is supported and every community benefits from the strength of those who serve it.
Our Vision
The Florida Deputy Sheriffs Association envisions a law enforcement community where every deputy is healthy, resilient and united in purpose and brotherhood. Through programs like Lend A Hand, we are committed to ensuring that no deputy or family faces hardship alone. We strive for a future where every deputy in Florida is supported at every stage — physically, mentally and emotionally — so they can finish their career strong and thrive well beyond the badge.
