FDSA Lend a Hand Fund Receives $100,000 to Support Deputies in Need After Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton

On October 18, 2024, FDSA President Sheriff Billy Woods joined Governor Ron DeSantis and Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister to accept a $100,000 donation from Florida’s Disaster Fund.

This donation, made in partnership with the Florida Sheriffs Association to support the FDSA’s Lend a Hand Fund, will directly support deputies and other first responders impacted by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

Governor DeSantis and Sheriff Chronister also took time to recognize the incredible work and sacrifices made by first responders during these difficult times.

FDSA is actively working with sheriffs in the affected counties to distribute these funds where they’re needed most. If you or a fellow deputy could benefit from this fund, please reach out to us.
